ASSESSMENT OF FIRE-RETARDANT EFFECT

The Mega Vietnam Research Experimental Center evaluated the fire-retardant effectiveness of the fire-retardant coating to achieve results close to the national standard TCVN 9311-1: 2012 (ISO 834-1: 1999). The evaluation device is “LiG-S1 Gas Furnace” with a standard furnace temperature line, simulating almost the same as the standard line of the fire protection.

Below are the solvent-based fire retardant paint test results developed by Megarad Experimental Research Center with a LiG-S1 gas furnace. After 120 minutes of burning, the furnace temperature reached 1031oC, fire retardant paint with a thickness of 600µm had a layer of porous coal about 1.7cm, the average temperature on the back of the specimen reached 334 oC.
